The Marketing Department: What we do
The Department's key areas of responsibility are:
- To respond to all media enquiries and manage all media relations including identifying, writing and issuing regular and timely news stories and developing relationships and partnerships. Also managing all broadcast media projects. Watch a documentary on the Hospice which was featured on the BBC's Inside Out programme on Monday 7 December 2010.
- Produce all external publications including News magazine, Spotlight magazine, the General Hospice leaflet, Light up a Life materials, Patient and Family guide, Clinical leaflets, Lottery leaflet, Legacy leaflet and all direct ask literature.
- Produce all general communication materials including display stands, posters, poster templates, point of sale materials and signage.
- Support all Hospice departments with their marketing, event and communication needs. In particular the Fundraising and Retail departments.
- Act as expert advisors and support external fundraisers with marketing and media enquiries.
- Manage the Hospice's website and intranet.
- Manage all internal communication including all staff emails and the production of the bi-monthly internal magazine Network.
- Manage the Hospice's brand, ensuring all usage adheres to brand guidelines.
- Manage the key creative suppliers including printers, designers, advertisers and photographers to ensure value for money is achieved at all times.
