Community Fundraising

St Nicholas Hospice Care was started by and for the community of West Suffolk and Thetford. The support of the local community is essential to the continued excellence of our work and to allow us to provide our services completely free to those who need them.

Wine TastePeople will do just about anything to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice Care - and we love them for it! From football to fetes, dog shows to drama; all over West Suffolk and Thetford you will find individuals and groups doing all sorts of things to help their local Hospice.

Have a look at our Events Diary to see what other people are doing in the next few months to bring in the cash for St Nicholas Hospice Care.

Hidden GardenOur network of supporters, Friends’ Committees, volunteer fundraising groups work hard at events throughout the year, and our Special Events Committee regularly organise a variety of events such as Concerts, Classic Cars and Dinners.

There's a whole host of ideas in our Fundraising Pack to inspire you and to give you some really useful tips.

If you would like to request a pack please contact our Community Fundraising Team on 01284 715595 or email fundraising@stnh.org.uk

Local Partners

This area has some of the best local pubs, clubs and hotels in the country, from quiet village pubs to lively town centre venues, and so many places host events to raise money for St Nicholas Hospice Care. Our regular fundraisers are our Local Partners - have a look at their page and get your local to join in and help.

Community Groups

Abby and SueLocal community groups such as churches, Rotary Clubs, scouts and guides, Round Table and Lions Groups are some of our keenest supporters.

Kirtling BowlsWe are happy to come and talk to any group about our work and how we are helping people in the local community. Speakers are available at most times and can talk to any age group.

Why not form your own local support group for the Hospice? All you need is a couple of friends and the desire to get together for the occasional coffee morning or lunch.
