Placements within the Hospice

Clinical Care

St Nicholas Hospice Care welcomes pre and post-graduate students from nursing, medicine, social work, chaplaincy and the allied health professions for placements within certain clinical areas.

These include Sylvan Ward, Orchard Day Therapy, the Family Support Team, the Community Team and our Fundraising Department.

Support Services

We also welcome people who are studying topics such as administration, retail and fundraising. We can also offer NVQ's for our staff and volunteers.

For further information please contact the Education and Development Centre on 01284 715591.

Work experience for school and college students

St Nicholas Hospice Care welcomes young people of school age who wish to undertake work experience. Our Fundraising Department is able to offer a very broad range of authentic work experience.

Please note that it is not always possible to accomodate certain clinical work experience placements due to sensitive or specific circumstances.

If you are interested in a work experience placement or finding out more please contact Emma Izod on 01284 715596.
